Armed
Forces
Since the Armourers' Company was founded in 1322, its members made armour for the Army, often travelling with them into battle, repairing damaged armour and making new armour.
As Armourers to the Services, the Company played a special role in the defence of the City of London and its connection with the Armed Forces persists to this day, particularly the award of prizes for excellence to young servicemen and women. |
